Cleveland Clinic London are looking to recruit a Therapy Assistant to join our Therapy Team, with a competitive salary range on offer.

What will your duties include?
- Work with senior therapy Caregivers in the day to day delivery of rehabilitation management for hospitalised patients with physical, cognitive, communicative and emotional impairments maximising independence and quality of life.
- Support patients to carry out bespoke exercise programmes as part of their daily routine, under the guidance of senior Caregivers e.g. for upper limb, mobility, speech or language exercises.
- Be responsible for completing the treatment plans identified by senior Caregivers, following training and competency achievement in the appropriate assessment and treatment tools.
- Provide regular updates and feedback to senior therapy caregivers on patient performance.
- Be responsible for the continual monitoring of these patients after training and have the knowledge when to refer and escalate to registered caregivers
- Work flexibly and dynamically with all Caregivers in the safe and effective delivery of rehabilitation.
- Be responsible for management of delegated caseload safely and appropriately.
- Provide high quality proactive communication to all Caregivers
- Be responsible for own continued professional development with support from senior therapy caregivers.

What we need from you?
- A levels, NVQ Level III or equivalent skills
- GCSE or equivalent in English, Mathematics, Science
- Willingness to learn, ability to participate and gain necessary qualifications as per therapy priority.
- Relevant significant experience working in a health, education or social care setting.
- Experience of working in a multi-disciplinary team with a variety of professionals - desirable.
- A basic understanding of Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, Speech and Language Therapy and Nursing and the role of a Therapy Assistant in supporting the rehabilitation team.
- Understanding of and ability to participate in supervision and appraisal
- Able to utilise self-reflection skills and identify own development needs with the support of a clinician where required.
- Able and willing to participate in appropriate training, both internal and external.
- Able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Able to use analytical and problem solving skills in challenging situations.
- Effective verbal, telephone and written communication skills in English.
- Compliance with all infection control and personal protective equipment policies and procedures at all times.
