ABOUT THE ROLE:

As a Senior Material Artist, your role will be integral in collaborating with the Environment Art team to deliver high-quality materials and textures for assets, architecture, and biomes. 

You will strive for excellence in creating consistent, top-notch environment materials, elevating the visual content of our game. Your ability to communicate effectively with internal stakeholders will be essential in this role. 

Our ideal candidate is a proficient Material Artist with a passion for their craft, demonstrated skills in texturing, and a proven track record in the field. 

This is a permanent role based at our state-of-the-art facilities in Royal Leamington Spa. We have a hybrid work model in place with a minimum of 3 days a week in studio. Relocation assistance is available if required.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

Working closely with Leads, Directors and multi-disciplinary stakeholders, you'll establish texture and material workflows. Create superior environment materials for props, architecture, geology, and terrain. Participate in the creation of benchmarks for various asset types, defining workflows and processes for obtaining optimal results. Develop a base material library for use in asset creation. 

WHAT YOU'LL BRING:

Experience in material art creation, demonstrated by an online portfolio. Expertise in shader networks and procedural texturing. Familiarity with industry-standard software such as Zbrush, Substance Designer, Substance Painter, and Maya.  Strong knowledge of PBR workflows and an understanding of how materials behave in the real world. Excellent teamwork and communication skills, an ability to manage tasks, meet deadlines, address work-related challenges proactively, and a drive for learning and professional growth.  Experience working on console games or RPG games. Skills in photogrammetry and using scan data in your work.
