Job Title: Colleague Support - Relief Worker
Salary: £12.63 per hour
Working Hours: Up to 37 hours per week including evenings, weekends and bank holidays
Location: Eden Rural Foyer, Penrith

The difference you will make as a Colleague Support Assistant

You will work on a one-to-one basis providing administrative, and sometimes practical, support to a colleague who requires reasonable adjustments (as provided for within the Equality Act 2010) to enable the colleague to fulfil the requirements of their role. The hours of the role will may vary on a weekly basis depending on the colleague’s schedule. 

We will consider part time applications for this role.

Administration experience with the ability to use Microsoft Office applications Experience of support work Experience of supporting colleagues who require reasonable adjustments (as provided for within the Equality Act 2010) Flexibility to work varied hours as required

Role Profile

Role requires you to:

Work as part of a committed and compassionate team, delivering an outstanding experience to customers whilst being supported by your colleagues and Line Manager To assist a colleague with the required reasonable adjustments to support the colleague to fulfill their duties. To communicate effectively to ensure the colleague’s reasonable adjustments are met. To work in partnership with the colleague and team members within a team environment by being a team player. To have regular reviews with the colleague and line manager to ensure all expectations are being met. To support the colleague when communicating with colleagues and customers. To support the colleague with reasonable adjustments when attending meetings or trainings. To be flexible regarding the colleague being supported.

Other Information

You will be required to:

Work a range of shifts that will mirror the colleague you are supporting and may include evenings and weekends. Undertake regular training to enable you to deliver your role safely. Ensure customers are always safe - carrying out all of your duties within Riverside’s Policy and Procedure framework . health & safety, safeguarding, dignity at work, GDPR, cash handling, etc. Deliver your role in line with the Riverside company values – “Our Riverside Way”. Participate in team meetings, regular supervisions and reflective practice sessions. From time to time you may be required to undertake additional duties and responsibilities of an equivalent nature, in consultation with your Line Manager.
