We are seeking a Trainee Claims Handler to join our team at Gallagher Bassett. As a Trainee Claims Handler, you will be responsible for reviewing, investigating, and resolving claims. You will receive comprehensive training that covers all aspect of the job and will equip you with the knowledge and skills necessary for success in your new role and a career with us. How you'll make an impact Review and record claims on our in-house system, ensuring compliance with product standards Helping to process insurance claims, including reviewing documentation, assessing coverage, and determining claim validity (whether the claim will be paid or not). Clearly communicate decisions on liability and negotiate settlements within your authority level Respond to written and phone enquiries promptly and courteously Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of all claims and related activities About You Ability to explain complex language in simple terms, either in writing and/or over the phone Attention to detail to accurately review and assess claim documentation Problem-solving and analytical skills to evaluate whether a claim should be paid or not Empathy and the ability to remain calm and composed when dealing with customers who may be in stressful situations Customer service skills to provide a positive experience for customers throughout their claims process Computer literate GCSEs, or equivalent including English and Maths Eligible to work in the UK Compensation and benefits On top of a competitive salary, great teams and exciting career opportunities, we also offer a wide range of benefits.
