About the Role

The Quality Assurance and Performance Officers are a core function of the People Directate’s Quality Assurance, Practice & Performance service.

This role supports the delivery of the Quality Assurance Framework across Children’s, Adults and Education. The post holder supports practice learning and improvement, and develops processes and reporting systems that bring together operational and strategic level information. The post holder will play a central role in the effective coordination of a range of data, audit outcomes and performance intelligence and deliver high level reporting to inform decision making. The post holder will need to work collaboratively with services across the council and with partners locally.

Social Worker qualifications are desirable but not essential. Experiences of Ofsted, HMIP, or CQC inspections are desirable but not essential. Understanding of legislations and regulations that underpin practice is also desirable.

About You

To be successful for this role you will bring:

Education to degree level or equivalent by experience. Knowledge or experience of working in Adults and/or Children’s Social Care Knowledge or experience of the CQC Assessment Framework Ability to take responsibility for ensuring Adults Social Care is fully prepared for a CQC Assessment/Inspection.  Ability to ensure that the CQC Self Assessment is regularly reviewed and updated to reflect changes in performance data/feedback and outcomes from residents and unpaid carers and changes in service delivery or policy/strategy. Ability to take responsibility for leading and coordinating the implementation of the Quality Assurance Framework that integrates the core functions of quality assurance, best social work practice and performance to inform future service delivery planning of the directorate. Ability to work with stakeholders across the organisation to understand social care service delivery issues, problems and questions and identify or develop the datasets and produce the insight needed to resolve them. Ability to produce high quality audit and other related reports for wide circulation Excellent organisational skills and the ability to lead on projects and deliver presentations to management meeting Excellent collaboration and communication skills and experience of working flexibility  Drive and enthusiasm with an ability to manage and prioritise your own workload to demanding timescales in a busy environment. Excellent time management and prioritisation skills with the ability to provide regular meaningful updates to managers on key priorities.  Experience of working with Google (Gmail, Docs, Sheets, Slides, Forms, and Microsites) as well as skills in the Microsoft equivalents.
