We have an exciting role for a Composite Technician who will join our client’s team, a developer of electric vehicles whose mission is to bring real engagement and emotion to driving electric performance cars. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in manufacturing and maintaining prototype components for our cutting-edge automotive projects.


The Composite Technician will:

  • Lay-up and cure R&D composite components to plybooks and technical drawings primarily using prepreg layup, vacuum bagging and oven curing.
  • Follow defined processes including bond preparations, resin and adhesive mixing, release procedures and specified oven cure cycles.
  • Provide repairs for damage sustained during track running, using wet lay up and splash moulds where required.
  • Collaborate with engineers and other team members to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
  • Trim, fit, and bond composite parts using the appropriate tools and equipment, creating jigs where necessary.


The Composite Technician will have:

  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience of composite lay-up, fitting and repair in the motorsport industry.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Skilled in the use of hand and power tools relevant to composite manufacturing.
  • Ability to read and interpret plybooks and technical drawings.
  • Knowledge of composite materials and low volume manufacturing processes.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to quality.
