A snapshot of the role
Our Account Directors are Client Services masterminds, having honed their craft with years of experience nurturing strong relationships, developing client business and leadership skills. With their strategic expertise they profitably lead, develop and wow our key clients - all while bringing daily commitment to making a positive contribution to the agency, to ensure we deliver exceptional client work with a smile on our faces.
Key responsibilities
- To provide leadership on your accounts, inspiring the highest standards in all team members, whilst owning and leading the longer term client relationships.
- To direct your accounts and teams to achieve client goals, making the necessary decisions to ensure the optimal, most efficient all-round output.
- To have full ownership and overview of your portfolio of accounts and team members, understanding exactly where things are at, what is being done and by whom.
- To have a thorough understanding of all dynamics operating in your client’s world, so that you can own, analyse and understand the client’s business and associated goals.
- To bring insights into both client interactions but also into the agency and teams.
- To understand, develop and own all of your financial targets, project and client profitability.
- Report up to SLT, utilising them strategically when you need to.
- To lead by example. As a senior and pivotal member of the agency, it is important that you show empathy, understanding, leadership and tenacity to your team, our clients and the wider agency, building positive relationships.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure that the best quality work is being delivered for all clients, within agreed budgets and timescales to meet objectives.
- Ensure strong leadership of the team, supporting their development.
- Collaborate with the new business team and help out on pitches and proposals.

- Excellent presentation, negotiation and people skills - particularly at a senior level - knowing when to push and when to accede

Key Accountabilities
- To deliver positive and constructive relationships with client and agency team
- To represent the client within the agency - keeping objectives and financial status quo front of mind and being ultimately responsible for the financial well-being of their portfolio of accounts
- To apply innovative and creative thinking to working approaches that delight clients, improve efficiencies and develop relationships
- To ensure clients understand the creative process and associated cost to deliver to their brief
- To assume responsibility for the creative output, assessing and critiquing creative based on operational needs of the client business and campaign brief
