Role Overview: We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented NPD (New Product Development) Assistant to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a degree in Food Science, preferably with a placement year during their degree. This role offers a fantastic opportunity to develop your skills in product development and contribute to the creation of our products.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the NPD team in the development of new products from concept to launch.
  • Conduct research on market trends, consumer preferences, and competitor products to support the NPD process.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Marketing, Quality Assurance, and Production to ensure successful product launches.
  • Prepare product formulations, prototypes, and samples for internal and external evaluation.
  • Assist in the management of product specifications, documentation, and compliance with relevant food safety and quality standards.
  • Support the coordination of sensory evaluations and product trials.
  • Monitor project timelines and ensure key milestones are met.
  • Provide administrative support to the NPD team, including data entry, report preparation, and meeting coordination.


Qualifications & Experience:

  • A degree in Food Science or a related discipline is essential.
  • A placement year or relevant experience in the food and beverage industry, particularly within NPD, is highly desirable.
  • Strong understanding of food safety, quality standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Passion for health and wellness and a proactive approach to product innovation.


Location: This role is based in Camberley,Surrey and candidates should be located in or around this area.
