About The Role

Here at Morrisons we are currently recruiting for a Manufacturing accountant for one of our biggest sites. You will be a business partner to the operation managers of our Bradford - Greenside site helping provide insight on performance and drive profitable growth. At our 400,000 square foot site, our 1,500-strong team produces 277 fresh food products. Operating 24/7, they run 44 production lines and manage six different operations all under one roof in our state-of-the-art building. Every day 72 vehicles leave packed full of our freshly prepared products.

You'll be responsible for:

  • Business partnering the site operation managers, working directly with all departments at the Manufacturing site
  • Explaining the weekly P&L for the rooms, identifying opportunities to improve yields and reduce waste and labour
  • Working closely with the NPD and operations teams to ensure all products are accurately costed, to help take cost out of the business and grow volumes
  • Review working capital, optimising stock levels, receivables and payment terms
  • Be involved in all strategic projects and Capital expenditure plans at site
  • Coaching the Assistant Accountant and Graduate in the team


About You

  • You’ll be a fully qualified Accountant through either CIMA, ACA or ACCA or qualified by experience.
  • Ideally have experience working as an Accountant for a manufacturing business
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills and the ability to build relationships with a variety of stakeholders across the business.
  • Excellent attention to detail with the ability to prioritise and manage a varied workload to meet agreed deadlines.
