Responsibilities


As Technical Project Manager you will work across various sectors; Public Sector, Life Sciences, Energy & Utilities, Financial Services and Technology, for our portfolio of clients. You will lead a project team from initiation to close, to deliver effective solutions that meet approved customer and business needs. For this opportunity we will consider both permanent and contract options.


· Develop and manage the project, communication, resource plans and processes

· Analyse all management and technical processes to ensure they’re delivered as expected

· Meet regularly with project stakeholders and define project, scope, goals and objectives

· Lead budget and resource allocation through all project phases

· Schedule project timelines

· Make estimates for the budget and schedule

· Generate regular reports to update stakeholders and manage projects

· Establish and train teams on processes and strategies

· Oversee day-to-day technical operations, including assignments and personnel review

· Define roles and responsibilities of the team and determine clear deliverables

· Research and evaluate new hardware and software technology and help make decisions on the cost-benefit analysis of new purchases

· Update and maintain hardware and software systems as needed

· Ensure the ongoing support for the delivered outputs has been planned and agreed with the relevant stakeholders.


Required Skills

· 5 years + relevant business experience and/or a technical or business degree, professional qualification or equivalent

· Experience in one or more of our client sectors

· Clear communication skills to guide project teams and coordinate with vendors and management

· Be able to solve problems through critical thinking and having the confidence to implement innovation approaches

· Organizational and time management skills to keep teams and projects on schedule

Education & Training

· Master’s degree in project management or related technical field preferred

· Project management certification preferred; Certification in Prince 2 and ITIL Foundation or Managing Professional

· Appropriate Agile qualification

· Trained in project management and knowledge of various methodologies to deliver successful projects


Desirable Technical Knowledge


· Knowledge in Powershell, VBscript or BASH shell scripting, Python, Linux script preferred
