Human Factors Engineer


Job Type: Contract

Start date: ASAP – Subject to clearance

Duration: 12 months

Salary/ Pay rate/ Benefits: Depending on experience

Location: Reading – Hybrid available - on site 3 days per week

Hours of work: 40 hours per week


Applicants must have experience of the following:


- Able to gain SC clearance and DV clearance

- Bachelors degree or equivalent in a relevant engineering field

- Chartership status

- Experience within nuclear or another highly regulated industry

- Experience creating human factors deliverables for submission to regulators


Responsibilities:


- Review key human factors documentation

- Carry out early human factors assessments

- Carry out human factors high level task and error analysis

- Monitor captured human factors issues

- Update proposed design control inputs for detailed design as required

- Carry out fault schedule reviews

- Review protection schedules

- Provide human factors assurance input into ALARP based optioneering studies

- Undertake human factors safety assessment work to support HAZAN
