We have a fantastic opportunity for a Senior Finance Business Analyst to join our team within Vistry Services, at our Brentwood office in Essex. As our Senior Business Analyst, you will work closely with the Financial Analysis Director and Major Projects team to analyse the performance of large scale residential led development projects. The role will focus on financial modelling, project reporting, and process improvement.

    • Previous experience and evidence of developing and maintaining complex financial models and reporting dashboards in Microsoft Excel.
    • Grade A in Mathematics A-Level.
    • Min 2:1 degree in a numerate subject.
    • Experience as an Analyst within a fast-paced environment.
    • Experience working in property sector.
    • Excellent Microsoft Excel skillset, ideally including VBA.
    • Exceptional interpersonal skills and communication. Must be able to liaise with stakeholders of all levels.
    • High standards of accuracy and precision with a strong attention to detail.
    • Driven and willingness to learn new skills and progress.
    • Proactive and organised work ethic.
    • Desire to improve processes and challenge the status quo, keen to drive change.

    • Work with the land, technical, and planning teams to generate and manage land acquisition appraisals.
    • Undertake scenario testing and sensitivity analysis to inform decision making, budgets, and strategic planning.
    • Assist the Land team to appraise new business opportunities and divestment decisions.
    • Ensure development appraisals are updated to reflect the latest delivery strategy and financial assumptions.
    • Assist in the production of monthly appraisals with special note being made regarding variances in cost/profitability.
    • Contribute to joint venture reporting including monthly updates, Board reporting, and analysis to support Board decisions.
    • Liaise and consult with other teams within the Group to efficiently obtain and share information.
    • Monitor budgets and forecasts producing variance analysis and commentary.
    • Assist with identify opportunities for procurement savings and efficiencies across the Major Projects portfolio.
    • Maintain the budget approval tracker.
    • Assist the Financial Analysis Director with an agenda of analysis and process improvement.
    • Identify opportunities to streamline processes and create user friendly reporting tools.
    • Share knowledge and support the development of the Financial Analysis team.
    • Proactively undertake ad hoc analysis on areas of opportunity or risk.
    • Any other responsibilities as desired by Line Manager.
