Sales and Business Development Manager

To £40k base, OTE £50k uncapped, plus Car, and Benefits

Our client is an established and thriving business, operating within the commodity warehousing and logistics sector, with a number of UK and European based operations.

They have built an impressive client base throughout the UK and Europe, and enjoy highlevels of long term repeat business.

Investing for further growth, they are seeking to strengthen their commercial activities and further grow their market footprint with the addition of an experienced Sales Manager / Business Development Manager.


The role is responsible for identifying, developing, and closing opportunities for new name business, targeting customers across a range of sectors where there is a requirement for commodity storage; for instance manufacturers of foods and goods, importers,and wholesalers etc.

Lead generation will be via highly targeted marketing and prospecting involving market research, networking, industry events and expos, and also referrals.

The approach is consultative and professional, selling to senior level decisionmakers within supply chain, operations, finance disciplines, understanding requirements and needs, presenting the services, capabilities and track record of the business, and negotiating and securing contracts, including tender activity.

Although with a newbusiness focus, the role will also manage new accounts to ensure long term development and retention. The role benefits from sales and marketing support, also training, however a proactive approach will be essential for success. The role will involve regulartravel throughout the UK.
