SENIOR SHOW PRODUCER (LIVE EVENTS)

Note: We are seeking an EVENTS professional, NOT a broadcasting professional. This role sits within the Events Division of TBI. Please only apply if you have an event prodution background.

We are trusted by some of the biggest brands and rights holders, delivering content for the BBC, ITV, Channel 4, Disney, Team GB, Paralympics GB, TikTok, Red Bull, The National Lottery and Bauer Media. We are a team who lead the way in crafting large-scale live events for major broadcasters, theatre shows, concerts, shows with global streams across multiple online platforms, experiential events, high-profile awards, original theatrical work, premium cruise ship productions and touring shows.

We’re now looking for a SENIOR SHOW PRODUCER to join our growing team, working on some exciting projects. This is an opportunity to join a thriving, growing organisation that has won multiple awards for its work. This is an initial fixed-term, 6 -month contract, with the potential to be extended.

KEY REQUIREMENTS

· You have extensive experience working in the live events industry, with a brilliant track record of producing and leading events at a senior level (at least 5 years plus in a Senior Position).

· You will thrive working under pressure and love the dynamics of the live entertainment industry

· You will have devised, produced and delivered live shows (theatrical/awards/concerts). It will be a bonus if you have experience of interfacing with broadcast teams.

· You will have led - and fully understand - the entire production process, from creating or receiving an initial brief, to on-site delivery

· You will be someone that clients love and trust

· You know what creative brilliance looks like, matched with commercials, matched with practical delivery

· You can craft copy that can sell an idea brilliantly

· You can fully write winning pitch responses and have experience in leading responses to RFPs

· You lead pitches with confidence, charm and oodles of charisma and - fundamentally - knowledge and expertise

· You are a brilliant on-site producer, who understands how to run, organise, inspire and motivate a team

· You love being the producing lead on-site; the person everyone is looking to for direction and decisions; and the person with the answers to the hard questions.

· You create production schedules for multi-day and multi-site events that are crafted from expert knowledge, experience and understanding of the needs of all the different departments and personnel.

· You accurately put together budgets for multiple events and shows, using knowledge and expertise to ensure that every possible line item is considered and factored.

PLANNING / PRE-PRODUCTION

· Taking initial client briefs & writing the full scope of the event

· Building high-level, complex budgets, including a strong understanding of commercials

· Capable of creating a comprehensive list of services.

· Supplier negotiation to increase profit and or savings for client/TBI

· Developing ideas; writing compelling copy/written proposals; and overseeing the production of the PPT presentation; and any/all audio, video, and social assets needed

· Ability to confidently pitch proposals and present ideas in person and on video calls

· Manage the pitching process for the wider team, process, and communication

· Creating project plans for each event

· Talent booking, management and advancing oversight

· Management of the team working on the project to ensure successful delivery, covering areas including but not limited to event production, creative delivery, content creation, talent, show graphics/animation, accommodation, supplier management, travel & expenses.

· Responsible for the following company processes and procedures throughout the projects


DELIVERY / LIVE PRODUCTION:


· Strong leadership of team members

· Overseeing show content & production delivery

· Ensuring the event goes as planned

· Manage suppliers and all teams

· Budget Management

· Supporting Assistant Producers/AL Teams

· Client management

· Troubleshooting and problem-solving.


POST PRODUCTION:


· Budget reconciliation

· Manage development of any post event sizzles

· Manage event debrief, collate all material, write content for TBI website and social media (with sign off from client) and complete Dropbox paperwork


TEAM SUPPORT:

· Strongly involved in promoting a strong company culture

· Work collaboratively across departments

· Attending team meetings and providing input, ideas & feedback

· Supporting junior members of the team and specifically line managing at least one member of the events team

· Maintain, develop, and grow existing client relationships


DEVELOPMENT:


· Identify new business opportunities

· Own and deliver a proposition for new business; from idea to client pitch and follow-up

FINANCE:

· Develop and manage complex budgets, collate supplier quotes, raise POs, authorise invoices, track all spending and manage post-event budget reconciliation and reporting.

· Manage and book suppliers and delivery partners. Take ownership of relationships, liaising throughout the process, negotiate costs and ensure value for money and efficiency.

· Support the Director of Events/Head of Events with project forecasting.

· Ongoing budget tracking with Head of Finance & Production Manager

· Ability to multitask, prioritise and juggle multiple projects through highly effective organisational skills

· Strong time management skills and the ability to work under pressure

  • A salary of circa £60-70k per annum (depending on experience)
