Mechanical Site Manager

About the Role:
We are currently seeking an experienced Mechanical Site Manager to oversee the mechanical installations and commissioning on residential and new build projects across the UK. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled professional to take the lead on-site and ensure the successful delivery of high-quality mechanical work on projects ranging from new build homes to larger residential developments. As the Mechanical Site Manager, you will be responsible for managing a team of engineers and subcontractors, ensuring compliance with all mechanical systems regulations, and overseeing the quality and timely delivery of installations. This role provides a dynamic, fast-paced working environment ideal for someone with a strong background in residential construction and mechanical systems management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate mechanical installations (HVAC, plumbing, heating, etc.) for residential and new build projects.
- Lead, manage, and mentor a team of mechanical engineers and subcontractors, ensuring work is completed on time and to a high standard.
- Ensure all mechanical systems work is compliant with the latest building regulations, codes, and safety standards.
- Liaise with project managers, contractors, and clients to ensure smooth project execution.
- Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress, identify any potential issues, and ensure adherence to quality standards.
- Ensure that all necessary materials and equipment are available on-site and work is carried out efficiently.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry standards, mechanical systems, and best practices.
- Coordinate with other site teams to ensure the mechanical systems integrate seamlessly with other building trades.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Proven experience as a Mechanical Site Manager or in a similar supervisory role within residential and new build construction projects.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical systems including HVAC, plumbing, heating, and ventilation.
- Previous experience managing mechanical teams and subcontractors on residential or new build projects.
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and specifications.
- Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and team management skills.
- SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme) certification.
- NVQ Level 6 in Site Management or equivalent (or NVQ Level 3 in Mechanical Engineering with experience in site management).
- Experience with Health & Safety standards and site regulations.
- Previous experience in residential and new build sectors is essential.
