Location: Banbury, UK
Rate of Pay: £58,035 starting
Hours: 40 hours, 3 shift rotation (6-2,2-10,10-6)
Overtime: 1.5x Saturday, 2x Sunday
A leading company based in Banbury is currently seeking a skilled Paint Robot Maintenance Technician to join their Paint Operations team. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual with a mechanical/electrical background to play a key role in maintaining and supporting the company’s paint plant and equipment to ensure operational efficiency and achieve departmental goals.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Health & Safety Compliance: The technician will be responsible for maintaining health, safety, and environmental standards in line with company policies, including IATF 16949 certification. They will also take part in accident investigations and ensure correct use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Maintenance of Equipment: The role involves responding swiftly to equipment issues to ensure seamless operations, thereby maintaining product quality and minimising downtime. The technician will participate in problem-solving activities and adhere to standard operating procedures.
- Continuous Improvement: The successful candidate will contribute to repairs and maintenance improvements, support continuous improvement initiatives, and help drive safety, performance, and cost-efficiency within the department.
- Team Collaboration: The technician will work closely with the team, sharing knowledge, participating in training, and fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
- Project Support: They will assist with the installation of new technology and equipment, manage spares inventory, and follow escalation procedures to resolve any issues that may impact quality or cause downtime.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
- Experience & Qualifications: A time-served apprenticeship in mechanical/electrical fields is essential. The candidate should be proficient in reading fluid flow schematics and have hands-on experience with bell applicators, conventional spray guns, B+M robotics, Fanuc robots, and dosing systems.
- Skills: Strong problem-solving abilities, organisational skills, and a continuous improvement mindset are crucial for this role. Experience with CMMS (preventative maintenance systems) and a working knowledge of Microsoft Office are required.
- Personal Attributes: The ideal candidate will be professional, approachable, and proactive, with a strong ability to make informed decisions. They will be comfortable working independently and collaborating with colleagues across departments.
