Senior Business Development Manager

My client is a leader in retail innovation, driving ROI for CPGs with their platform. This opportunity has come about as a result of their impressive growth.
They are looking for a Senior Business Development Manager - Retail to secure additional grocery retail partners.
Role Overview:
- The Senior Sales Manager - Retail will be responsible for identifying, developing, and nurturing relationships with grocery retailers. This role is important to help scale their impact, ensuring more FMCG retailers and CPG brands can benefit from the insights they generate.

Key Responsibilities:
- Proactively source and secure new retail partnerships
- Build strong, long-term relationships with key stakeholders within retail organisations, particularly within commercial, merchandising, category management, and data functions.
- Communicate clear value propositions and case studies to demonstrate ££ ROI
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth integration and delivery of data
- Collaborate with Demand Generation team to generate customer stories and represent the business at industry events and conferences to increase visibility and identify potential retail partners.
Requirements:
Experience: 3+ years of experience in within a grocery retailer, preferably within a commercial function such as buying, category management, or merchandising. Demonstrated success in building and managing enterprise partnerships and commercial relationships.
Skills: Strong understanding of the enterprise sales process (we use MEDDIC) and familiarity with messaging, sequencing and CRM tools (we use Hubspot).
Creativity: Ability to think creatively and develop innovative marketing strategies that drive results.
Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling messages and an eye for design.
Analytical Mindset: Expect a data-driven approach with strong analytical skills
Team Player: Collaborative and able to work effectively across different teams and departments.
Passion: Passionate about retail and a desire to drive innovation within the industry.
