We require 5 electrical maintenance engineers to cover various shift patterns for contract work that is ongoing with the opportunity to become permanent in the future


You must have:


  • 4 years of working in an electrical / mechanical and control engineering maintenance environment
  • NVQ3 or equivalent in an engineering discipline
  • Ability to analyse and interpret data
  • Ability to fault find on electrical, mechanical and pneumatic machinery
  • Experience in high speed packaging machinery


Desirable:


  • Training in 6 Sigma manufacturing tools and techniques
  • 18th Edition wiring
  • PLC qualifications in Siemens S5/S7/Simonton and Allan Bradley


Knowledge:


  • Application of technical skills and expertise to ensure the team provide effective engineering support to the business with a focus on performance targets
  • Mechanisms and Motion
  • Using your diagnostic skills to remove and replace major electrical components (motors, switch / control gear) and troubleshoot electrical circuits. Isolation of machinery and reinstallation of electrical supplies
  • Establishment of power distribution systems and electrical control circuits
  • Install electrical drive systems and control loops
  • Understanding of PLC’s, DCS’s and their applications
  • Fault finding and root cause analysis
  • Reactive maintenance


You can expect a salary in the region of £40K per annum with a shift allowance of 26.2% taking this to £50K as a basic before any O/T etc
