Your future team:
The Senior CS&A Engineer will be joining a dynamic Engineering Team delivering critical infrastructure upgrades for one of our Defence clients.
Your missions:
You will be assisting the Discipline Lead in the delivery of structural engineering work packages to the required scope, quality, schedule, and cost. You must have prior knowledge of the principles of seismic engineering or have a background in the design of nuclear-safety classified structures. The responsibilities of the Senior CS&A Engineer will include:
️ Preparing and checking civil/seismic designs, analyses, reports, drawings, specifications, and other documentation in support of a Nuclear related plant.
️ Supporting the review and sentencing of new designs, methodology of construction, and temporary works submitted to the Technical Authority.
️ Managing design work packages as appointed by Discipline Lead by supporting the planning of activities with respect to task durations, level of effort, and estimated costs, through to provision of design deliverables with regular schedule reviews and progress reporting.
️ Supporting the development, construction, installation, commissioning, operation and maintenance of facilities to ensure that they comply with the design intent and DNSP's for Nuclear related works, together with all relevant local and national regulations and legislation.

Qualifications/Skills to be successful:
We are searching for a candidate with a strong background in Civil/Structural Engineering, particularly in the design and substantiation of heavy civil and building structures. Ideal candidates will have:
A degree or equivalent in a relevant Engineering related discipline.
Chartered Engineer status and membership of a relevant institution or demonstrable engineering experience and capability of registering with the Engineering Council at CEng level.
Knowledge of architectural design of industrial buildings.
Knowledge of building services design and installation.
Experience of relevant seismic codes for satisfying Nuclear Safety Functions.
Knowledge of construction techniques employed for Nuclear Safety related structures and buildings.
A strong understanding of engineering design and safety practices, especially within highly regulated environments.
The ability to demonstrate relevant knowledge and skills required in the technical management of complex design development throughout the design lifecycle.
Experience of Finite Element Analysis and modelling software and a working knowledge of relevant engineering office computer applications.

- Most work is offsite, working from home or Assystem offices. Occasional visits to Client site in Plymouth will be required.
