The Langham, London; Europes first Grand Hotel and Forbes 5* rated property, is currently recruiting for a Junior Sous Chef to join our talented team in our All Day Dining Kitchen. In this role, you will collaborate with the Head Chef to execute and improve on a diverse and delicious selection for Palm Court lounge, Artesian bar, In-Room Dining and Langham Club lounge.

In the role of Junior Sous Chef, your key focus will be to:

  • Lead and oversee the preparation and presentation of high-quality In Room Dining meals.
  • Collaborate with the executive chef to create and refine innovative menus.
  • Coordinate seamlessly with room service staff to ensure efficient and smooth meal delivery.
  • Manage inventory, optimize ordering, and control kitchen costs to maximize profitability.
  • Mentor, train, and inspire kitchen staff to perform at their best, fostering a positive work environment.


Do you have?

previous similar experience, ideally within a 5* luxury hotel environment with outlet restaurants
ability to work independently and unsupervised
good interpersonal and communication skills
ability to multi-task and work under pressure
excellent attention to detail
food safety training along with relevant culinary qualifications
