As a Sales Engineer in the Service Department, you will help improve our client's global service offering. Your role involves finding and engaging potential clients, managing the sales process, and building long-term customer relationships. You will focus on delivering great value and excellent service by understanding customer needs and proposing innovative solutions. Your strategic thinking and commercial skills will help drive continuous improvement and keep the company at the forefront of the industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify promising customers and opportunities in target sectors based on the service department’s sales strategy.
  • Find key decision-makers and present the full range of service offerings, highlighting benefits for each prospect.
  • Create and submit compelling tenders that align with strategic goals, enhancing the company’s competitive edge.
  • Lead the sales process from initial contact to contract closure, developing winning strategies and performance metrics.
  • Help the commercial team create winning quotations, ensuring technical details are clearly communicated.
  • Manage customer expectations and relationships, understanding their long-term goals to align service offerings accordingly.

Requirements:

  • Proven success in strategic selling and building long-term customer relationships.
  • Good understanding of service engineering within automation and machine manufacturing industries.
  • Strong organizational, time management, and presentation skills.
  • Effective communication with all levels of stakeholders, adaptable to different situations.
  • Ability to present technical solutions and company benefits effectively.
  • Good understanding of business drivers and commercial awareness.
  • Valid UK Driving Licence.

Qualifications:

  • Proven success in strategic selling and customer relationship management.
  • Good understanding of service engineering within automation and machine manufacturing.
