We currently have consent for over 2GW of production going through planning and development.

As a Wind Turbine Technician in our North Scotland team based at Corriemoillie Wind Farm (Garve), every day is different and provides a real opportunity to make a difference in our ambition to help the UK achieve Net Zero.

You will work across multiple assets (predominantly GE 3.X platforms but could also include Vestas) to deliver scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, Fault finding and repair services to our onshore wind turbine projects.

What you’ll be doing

As a part of the Wind Turbine Technician Team, your typical day will start by checking the status of turbines within the area. Any faults or issues will be reported by our 24/7/365 monitoring centre based in France. The turbine issue reported will be attended by yourself or one of the team with the correct spares, tooling and documentation gathered. Followed by setting to work and a Toolbox Talk for the working party.

After setting ourselves up for success with our toolbox talk, you will head out to complete any fault rectification work or planned work such as Service, Statutory compliance, HV Maintenance support, blade inspections and at times more serious work packages such as gearbox or generator replacements as and when required.

No 2 days are the same working on wind turbines and the role keeps our technicians on their toes.

If you like a challenge, trouble shooting in a fast paced, evolving industry with Zero Harm as the core ambition, then this could be the ideal job for you.

Your role will be to carry out scheduled and reactive maintenance accordance with manufacturer’s guideline in addition to:

• Supervise specialist and subcontractor activity during main component exchange.

• Provide safety induction to contractors and visitors.

• Provide out of hours and weekend response to turbine breakdown

• Ensure the highest level of turbine availability.

We are looking for a strong safety-minded person with excellent analytical thinking, be a self-starter. This role requires a strong technical prowess. Equally important is a genuine enjoyment and enthusiasm for working in this field.

Previous experience as a with turbine technician would be desirable and experience of GE turbines would be advantageous.

You will have an excellent understanding of health and safety practices, rules and regulations.

For this role you must live within a 60 minute radius of our Corriemollie Wind Farm .

Closing date for applications: 6th January 2025
