OVERVIEW:

The Product Training Specialist is responsible for creating training materials and delivering training and certification programs for Generis's CARA platform, ensuring that both internal and external stakeholders have access to accurate, comprehensive, and engaging training resources. This role plays a critical part in building confidence and technical skills across a diverse group of learners, including platform architects, developers, administrators, business analysts, super users and end users. The Training Specialist ensures that training materials are in line with organisational objectives and industry standards while supporting the broader learning needs of the organisation.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Content Development & Documentation:

  • Develop training materials, including manuals, guides, presentations, and multimedia content, to support training programs for both technical and non-technical users of the CARA platform.
  • Develop comprehensive assessments such as quizzes, labs, and capstone projects to evaluate learner understanding and proficiency.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts (SMEs) and trainers to gather content, ensuring alignment with organisational standards and best practices.
  • Regularly update and revise documentation to reflect changes in processes, procedures, and technology, maintaining a central repository for easy access by stakeholders.


Training Delivery & Support:

  • Deliver engaging, virtual learning experiences to a global audience, with potential for on-site delivery as required.
  • Provide pre-session and ongoing support to participants, including materials preparation, troubleshooting and Q&A.
  • Assist with the development of supplemental materials such as job aids and quick reference guides.


Quality Assurance & Continuous Improvement:

  • Design and implement assessments (quizzes, labs, capstone projects) that effectively measure learning outcomes, using feedback to refine and improve the overall training program.
  • Conduct usability testing on CARA training materials and assessments, gather feedback from participants, and ensure accuracy, clarity, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, adult learning principles, and technological tools to continuously enhance training content and delivery.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements within CARA training documentation management and delivery, collaborating with cross-functional teams to implement best practices.


Customer Success Focus:

  • Serve as an advocate for customer and learner success, ensuring that CARA training programs are designed to meet the needs of Generis’s customers, partners, and employees.
  • Proactively engage with Generis stakeholders, other curriculum developers, and leadership to refine training content and enhance the learner experience.
  • Offer ongoing support through office hours and Q&A, fostering long-term skill development.


Requirements:

  • 3+ years of experience in developing and delivering technical enterprise software training in a corporate or organisational setting.
  • Strong skills in content authoring tools (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite), familiarity with Learning Management Systems (LMS), and an understanding of adult learning principles.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with an ability to explain complex concepts clearly and concisely.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects with attention to detail, meeting deadlines effectively.
  • Experience working collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including SMEs, instructional designers, and technical experts.


Nice to Have:

  • Experience with relational databases, life sciences products/processes, or technical cloud-based solutions.
  • Certifications in instructional design or technical writing.
  • Experience with learning management systems (LMS) and training evaluation methods.
