We are seeking a proactive and organised Office Manager and HR Assistant to support our Managing Director with day-to-day business operations and ensure the smooth functioning of our office. This role is integral to maintaining a productive and positive work environment, overseeing key HR functions, and supporting our team to perform at their best.

Location: Hammersmith, London

Job Type: Either Full or Part Time, depending on applicant

Line Manager: Managing Director



Key Responsibilities


Administrative Support:

  • Assist the Managing Director with daily business operations, including diary management, scheduling meetings, and organising travel arrangements.
  • Manage office supplies, subscriptions, and equipment, ensuring the office is well-maintained and fully operational.


Human Resources Support:

  • Oversee non-sensitive internal HR procedures such as performance reviews, staff training, and staff welfare initiatives.
  • Act as the main point of contact for HR advisors, assisting in drafting HR letters, job offers, and other HR-related documentation.
  • Maintain accurate employee records, manage holiday allowances, and oversee employee onboarding and offboarding processes.
  • Assist with the hiring and onboarding of new staff members, including posting job vacancies and screening candidates.


Team Coordination:

  • Ensure effective communication and collaboration within the team, facilitating a supportive and efficient working environment.
  • Organise and plan company events, team-building activities, and other staff engagement initiatives.


Financial and Operational Duties:

  • Assist in reconciling accounts and managing office budgets.
  • Keep track of subscriptions and renewals, ensuring all services and tools used by the company are up to date.
  • Support with ad-hoc duties as required to ensure the smooth operation of the office.

  • Promote and maintain a positive workplace culture, ensuring Rocket Sports is a great place to work for all employees.
  • Address any staff concerns or issues promptly and effectively, fostering a supportive and inclusive work environment.



Qualifications and Skills

  • Proven experience as an Office Manager, HR Assistant, or similar role.
  • Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritise effectively.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and HR management software.
  • Knowledge of basic accounting and financial reconciliation.
  • Familiarity with HR procedures and regulations.
  • High level of discretion and confidentiality.
