About the role

Now is an exciting time to join the group with growth plans for the USA, Australia, and across Europe, over the next five years. The role will be focused on people, change-management, and training and development, with additional responsibility for back-office operations and general office management for the Edinburgh office.


About you

We are looking for candidates with IFA or industry related experience who ideally have lived the expat life and understand the unique challenges of our clients and dual qualified advisors. Ideally you will have experience with people & operations management and have been trained through (or been involved with) an advisor training academy. You will have effective communication, organisational and leadership skills whilst being willing to get involved in a variety of tasks that will require you to get your hands dirty. The successful candidate will report into the Chief Operations Officer.


Key Responsibilities

People

  • Roll out of human resource support and systems across the global offices.
  • Support graduates, advisors and the back-office team by ensuring they have the tools and training required to fulfil their and the group’s ambitions.
  • Responsible for all training and development and CPD monitoring.
  • Work with managers and directors in setting and tracking key KPIs.
  • Conducting quarterly and annual reviews.
  • Consult directly with outsourced in-country HR support, managing internal processes compliantly.
  • Assist with the recruitment process of new employees.
  • Assist with company and employee contracts / agreements and other documentation.
  • Manage onboarding and departure of employees.
  • Coordinate and maintain employee benefits.


Operations

  • Provide support to a range of projects, seeing them through to completion.
  • Management of the back office team and systems.
  • Overall oversight of the systems and tools used by the business.
  • Relationship management with outsourced contracts.
  • Coordinate the quarterly board meetings, held in the UK, Europe, and Asia.
  • General office management responsibilities.
  • Ad-hoc, as required.


Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Extensive experience with Xplan.
  • Ideally experience gained in a Wealth Management or Financial Planning business.
  • Experience with advisor training programmes or training early career professionals.
  • Human resources or operational qualification desired.
  • Ability to take initiative, find solutions, and present with detail.
  • Professional and excellent verbal and written communication.
  • An initiative-taker who will go above and beyond to get the job done.
  • A team player who is willing to work collaboratively, as well as independently.
  • CII or CISI qualified, or part-qualified, desired.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office: Excel, Word and PowerPoint.

  • Salary £60k+ DOE
