We are supporting a premier defence organisation in the search for a Cyber Security Officer with experience in cyber security supply chain management. As a vital member of our compact team, you'll act as the national central point of contact for all aspects of Product Cyber Security governance. Your responsibilities will include coordinating with government agencies, providing guidance on and overseeing project cyber security architectures and implementations, and fostering relationships with shareholders and key suppliers,


In this role, you will have the opportunity to:


  • Oversee project approaches to cyber security issues and offer support to ensure effective security solutions.
  • Collaborate with customer accreditation bodies to maintain seamless communication and compliance in product cyber security.
  • Work with senior project management and executives from various business units to address complex trade-offs related to cyber security for the clients products.
  • Support the Procurement Department in implementing the Supply Chain Cyber Security Policy.


What we are looking for:


  • Knowledge and understanding of MOD and Government information security policies, standards, and guidelines.
  • Experience in conducting information security risk assessments, developing risk treatment plans, and preparing risk management and accreditation documents.
  • Expertise in supply chain cyber security challenges, Cyber Essentials, DefCon 658, Def Stan 05-138, and Def Stan 05-139.
  • Preferably, experience in information assurance throughout the Systems Engineering Development Lifecycle.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to tailor messages to different audiences.
  • Ability to identify key technical, commercial, and program influences from available information.
  • Experience with systems thinking and systems engineering.
