Here at Burns Sheehan, we have partnered with the largest commercial redistributor of surplus food and household products across the whole of the UK. As the embark on a Digital Transformation they are looking for an experienced Head of IT to join their ever-growing team.


As the Head of IT, you will be responsible for for leading and managing the IT department and ensuring the delivery of high-quality IT services and solutions across the business. You will oversee the development and implementation of the IT strategy, policies, and standards, and ensure alignment with group objectives and goals.

Role Responsibilities:


  • Ensure the delivery of high-quality IT services and solutions that meet the needs and expectations of the business and customers, and comply with the relevant standards and regulations, including PCI and GDPR
  • Provide strategic direction and leadership for the IT department efficiently and effectively
  • Lead and manage the IT team as well as Management of all IT Budgets
  • Ensure the IT department adheres to the IT policies, procedures, and best practices, and implement appropriate risk management and governance frameworks
  • Provide expert advice and guidance on IT matters and issues, and resolve any IT-related problems and incidents

.

Requirements:


  • 10 years of IT experience, with 5 in a senior IT management role
  • Commercial experience within Logistics or Supply Chain Organisations
  • Experience working within Microsoft Dynamics (Ideally)
  • Broad IT knowledge to include cloud and SaaS services, MS Stack (Azure, 365) Experience with PCI compliance and GDPR standards, emerging retail technologies
  • Excellent leadership, management and communication skills
  • Expertise in the IT domains relevant to the retail sector, such as e-commerce, data analytics, cloud, security, and customer relationship management
