Interim Financial Systems Accountant - Energy Business


Stanton House is currently recruiting for a Financial Systems Accountant to join an Energy Business in London on a 12-month Contract paying £500 per day Inside of IR35. This role offers a hybrid working model with 2 working in their London office.


Responsibilities:

  • Own and manage a range of Finance Systems.
  • Offer exceptional support to finance colleagues and the wider business for business-related inquiries.
  • Manage Finance Master Data and associated processes.
  • Act as a key link between Finance and the wider Operational and Strategic master data.
  • Provide end-user training.
  • Support the finance team in meeting all financial reporting deadlines by assisting with report writing and system queries.
  • Implement automatic data integration between finance systems.
  • Collaborate with the Finance Team to ensure comprehensive documentation of all processes and ensure compliance.
  • Serve as a Subject Matter Expert and support the Finance Transformation Team in finance system and tool-related projects.


To be suitable for this role you must have the following:

  • Accounting qualification (ACCA, ACA, CIMA) preferred.
  • Previous track record of implementing system changes and improvements, particularly with SAP and related finance areas.
  • Proficiency in SAP, capable of running reports and possessing a basic understanding of back-end SAP configuration.
  • Proficiency in VBA and advanced Excel skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines.
  • Solid grasp of process management, including documentation, design, and implementation.
  • Exposure to accounting and forecasting activities with a strong emphasis on accuracy.
  • Proficiency in project management and Project management qualification is desirable.
  • Qualification in process optimisation would be advantageous.
