You will be the focal point of HR resolving HR query escalations, lead employee relations and advice and support managers in execution of Talent action plans. Playing a critical role in the development and evolution of the employee experience. The HR People Operations Leader collaborates with business leaders designing and developing new solutions and effectively communicating HR programs and policies.


Candidates should have strong previous experience in all HR processes, such as


  • case management
  • disciplinary
  • grievance matters


Good understanding and able to advise on


  • employment law
  • employment tribunal processes.


In addition, you should have strong experience working with


  • Unions, particularly GMB (for drivers - Cryo, Bulk and PG ; and plant operators),
  • such as negotiating with the union on pay matters, T&Cs changes, attending committee meetings, etc.


You will be expected to provide coaching and support others in the team on union matters.


  • Mostly be providing HR support for the sites in the North of England area (eg. Manchester, Crewe, Hull).
  • There is flexibility to work remotely from home in the UK, but you be required to attend business meetings on site from time to time and business travel costs can be expensed (mileage or train travel).
  • If you prefers to be based in an office, Crewe is the main office in North of England and would be the best location, however may also be possible arranging a desk space in Manchester or Hull.
