The Electrical Estimator will work within Zest’s Operations team to provide the conduit between Operations and the sales/bid team. Understand the requirements of sales or a tender enquiry, the ability to provide initial designs, budget estimates, programmes of work and technical responses and support.


EV Operational knowledge is essential, and a technical/electrical background will be beneficial.


Key Accountabilities


The role is responsible for the following:


  • Provide pre-sales technical support to colleagues, existing customers and prospective customers requiring assistance with equipment, hardware or EV installation design & requirements.
  • Perform a technical lead role in the review and response of RFP/RFI documents.
  • Write technical specifications and make appropriate recommendations.
  • Attend customer meetings in order to deliver technical content and presentations.
  • As and when required perform proof of concept installations for customer.
  • Conduct and take responsibility for the technical design, programmes of work and budget cost assessment.
  • Liaise with leadership team regarding operation concerns, costs and time scales
  • Take an active role in project and design team meetings and the coordination process.
  • Quality Assurance of designs, costs and submissions with the sales team.
