The role of a Sourcing Manager requires a deep understanding of private equity/investment management, particularly with mid-market/SME clients or start-ups



The Sourcing Manager will work alongside the A&R Exec (who proactively searches for artists that align with the firm's investment strategy). This involves researching industries, monitoring market trends, and identifying companies that may be seeking investment, facing financial challenges, or looking for strategic partners.



The successful candidate will lead the negotiation and closure of strategic deals while collaborating closely with the A&R, Underwriting, Legal, and Finance teams. The focus will be on financial forecasting, analysing artist royalty data, and presenting compelling commercial propositions to the end client.


In addition to the immediate impact, this position offers a clear path for career progression into people management as the company expands further across Europe.

What You’ll Do:

In this role, you'll blend commercial acumen with a passion for music, working at the intersection of analytics and artist relations. You'll lead negotiations, close deals, and support artists through the royalty transaction process.

Responsibilities:

• Project Management: Collaborate with A&R, Underwriting, Legal, and Finance teams to lead, negotiate, and close strategic opportunities that meet both company and artist objectives.

• Data Analysis: Analyse and organize artists' financial data and royalty statements to create suitable commercial propositions.

• Sales Process: Focus on the final stages of the sales process, including overseeing the pitch document, closing deals, and managing the royalty rights transfer process.

• Cross-Functional Role: Operate at the intersection of music, operations, and data analytics, directly contributing to the democratization of music catalog monetization.

• Track key deal points and conversations using internal tools like HubSpot, Airtable, and Notion.

• Stay updated on industry trends, competitor strategies, and emerging technologies in music fintech. • Artist Relations: Build rapport with mid-market and independent artists.



Requirements:

• 3+ years of experience in private equity, investment banking, or relevant finance/professional services - CRUCIAL

• Ability to decipher data and craft a suitable pricing plan/ forecasting model for artists

• Ability to navigate complex deal structures.

• Experience in opportunity and risk assessment, with informed decision-making skills during negotiations.

• Ability to interpret and synthesize legal agreements.

• Attention to detail, strong work ethic, and enthusiasm for a startup environment.

• Passion for music and culture, with an interest in new business models for artists.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration - client facing experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in Economics, Finance, or a related field.
