Transport Co-ordinator

Do you ideally have two years' office-based experience in transport operations, or a sound knowledge of the waste industry? We’re looking for a positive, proactive and organised person to help manage daily waste collection operations at our Ford depot, near Arundel. As Transport Co-ordinator, you will join us on a permanent full-time contract and earn a competitive salary and a host of great benefits, including:

About the Transport Co-ordinator roleAt Grundon, our busy transport offices are the nerve centres of our waste collection services and key to daily operations running smoothly. As our Transport Co-ordinator, you will:- Liaise with customers (you'll be managing requests from initial order through to processing) and around 15 drivers. - Use your scheduling/planning skills to prepare daily computerised routes for the crew and ensure they are thoroughly debriefed at the end of shifts.- Record and input data and process paperwork.- Communicate with our workshops and fleet team to check fleet availability and ensure vehicles are maintained and roadworthy.

What we're looking for in our Transport Co-ordinator- Fantastic customer service skills. You're a strong team worker and confident communicator (verbal and written) who understands the need to be helpful and professional.- You're comfortable using the phone, Microsoft Word and databases. We will train you up on our bespoke computerised traffic system. - You’re a stickler for accuracy and attention to detail.- Preferably, good local geographical knowledge.- Full driving licence (ideally, you hold an LGV licence and CPC).

Working hours: An average of 44 per week: 7.00am-16.30pm Mon-Fri, plus 1 in 3 Sat mornings, 7.00am-11.30am
