The Opportunity
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Lead DevOps Engineer Technology Transformation to join the METS CTO Team and spearhead the implementation of critical technology initiatives across the MeTS organization. This role will play a pivotal part in shaping our future by driving the adoption of AI/Gen AI, DevOps best practices, leveraging Apigee for API management, and establishing a robust obsolescence management program.
European and International travel will be required to build successful relationships and support the teams to achieve success
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Drive Transformational Initiatives: Lead the implementation of DevOps, Apigee, and obsolescence management programs across the MeTS organization, ensuring alignment with overall technology strategy and business objectives.
- Strategic Planning & Roadmap Development: Develop comprehensive roadmaps and strategies for the implementation and adoption of these key initiatives, considering timelines, resource allocation, and dependencies.
- AI/Gen AI Strategy & Implementation: Develop and execute the strategic vision for AI/Gen AI adoption within the development process, including identifying key use cases, selecting appropriate tools and technologies, and driving responsible and ethical AI implementation.
- AI/Gen AI Talent Development: Working closelsy with the Pillars and Workforce Management, Identify and develop talent within the organization with specialized AI/Gen AI skills, contributing to building a future-ready workforce.
- Change Management & Adoption: Lead change management efforts to ensure smooth adoption of new processes, tools, and technologies across all MeTS teams.
- Collaboration & Communication: Foster strong relationships with key stakeholders, including MeTS leadership, IT teams, business units, and external partners. Facilitate effective communication and coordination across all levels and disciplines.
- Team Leadership & Development: Lead, mentor, and coach a team of technical professionals responsible for executing the transformation initiatives.
- Process Optimization & Standardization: Develop and implement best practices, standards, and guidelines for DevOps, Apigee, and Obsolescence management to ensure consistency and efficiency across the organization.
- Metrics & Reporting: Track progress, measure Objectives & Key Result (OKRs), key performance indicators (KPIs), and generate comprehensive reports on the effectiveness of the transformation initiatives.
- Problem Solving & Troubleshooting: Proactively identify and address challenges, risks, and issues related to the implementation of the initiatives, ensuring timely resolution and mitigation.
- Continuous Improvement: Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation, actively seeking new opportunities to optimize processes and enhance the effectiveness of the transformation programs.
- International Relationship Building: Engage in international travel to build strong relationships with key stakeholders, vendors, and partners, fostering collaboration and knowledge sharing across global teams.

- Proven experience in leading successful technical transformation initiatives within large, complex organizations, particularly in the areas of DevOps, API management, and obsolescence management.
- Deep understanding of DevOps principles, methodologies, and tools (e.g., CI/CD, Git, Jenkins, Kubernetes).
- Expertise in API management with a strong understanding of Apigee platform and its capabilities.
- Strong knowledge of obsolescence management best practices, including lifecycle management, risk assessment, and mitigation strategies.
- Exceptional leadership skills with proven ability to motivate and inspire teams to achieve ambitious goals.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and address complex technical challenges.
