Today we are recruiting an entry-level Chef for Chesfield Downs Golf & Country Club in Hitchin This brilliant venue offers an 18-hole championship golf course, modern health facilities, and a lively social calendar for members and visitors. The club provides top-notch hospitality, excellent service, and a range of feel-good experiences for all guests. Part of The Club Company Group, Chesfield Downs is known for its exceptional inland links style course designed by Jonathan Gaunt.


Role Description

Flex is hiring a full-time entry level on-site Chef role located at the Club in Graveley. You'll be able to learn new skills working with talented staff in our kitchen and you'll be responsible for daily kitchen operations, menu execution, maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards, and ensuring high-quality food production for members and guests.


You will be:


  • Preparing, cooking, and presenting dishes from set menus for events and daily operations.
  • Ensuring that all food meets the club’s high standards for taste, presentation, and safety.
  • Supporting the kitchen team during busy periods, including evening events and holiday functions.
  • Maintaining a clean and organized workspace, following all food safety and hygiene regulations.
  • Collaborating with team members to create a positive and efficient work environment.
  • Assisting in the development of new dishes for themed events and special occasions.



Qualifications


  • Interest in culinary skills and menu planning
  • A great work ethic
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and collaborate with kitchen staff
  • Good time management and organizational skills
  • Good communication ability


Interest or experience in kitchens valued but not required.

  • Flexible with working hours, especially during events, with reliable transport (due to our location).
