We’re in the process of building a digital product team to develop cutting-edge solutions for our customers and prospects, with the mission to help innovators bring products that enhance people’s lives to market faster and more reliably. Our initial focus is on accelerating medical device launch to market without compromising safety and testing.
You’ll be joining a team of designers, product managers and developers at an exciting early stage of the process where you’ll have the opportunity to influence product, design and organisational decisions. We’re looking for team players who are also independently minded self starters who can own their work and contribute to the vision. Essentially you’ll be joining a start up that has the safety and backing of a large traditional organisation.
We are looking for someone to be based in our Covent Garden based offices 3-4 days a week (some flexibility).
What you’ll do:
- Collaborate with other designers, product managers and developers in an agile environment to conceptualise and bring to life well thought out and considered design solutions
- Design elegant interface and interaction solutions to complex user problems
- Prototype user flows, interactions and animations to demonstrate and document functionality
- Participate in and be engaged with user research
- Incorporate feedback from user research and analytics findings to enhance and optimise designs
- Define interface and motion design principles
- Update and maintain the design system on an ongoing basis
- Ensure designs and components are accessible
- Champion design and the power of design across the business
- Establish ways of working with developers that ensures timely and well documented design and front end handoffs and collaboration
- Mentor more junior members of the team
We’re looking for someone who:
- Is passionate about user centred design and customer research
- Loves the craft of design and getting the details right but can also see the big picture and articulate a vision
- Is collaborative, open minded, empathetic and not too precious about their outputs
- Has an understanding of established design patterns for mobile, app and web, when to use them and when to advocate for change
- Can steer and evolve a digital brand and articulate the value of design
- Is constantly learning and on top of the latest design innovations, trends and methods
- A whiz at Figma, Adobe Creative Suite and other design tools
- Has a portfolio showcasing a breadth of digital design work including apps, websites, animations etc. and can talk through their solutions, process and design decisions
