1) This is a relocation position - the role requires you to relocate the Gulf as this is where the Cyber SOC Academy is

Job Spec:


As a Senior Blue Team Instructor, you will play a critical role in educating and training the next generation of cybersecurity professionals. This is a relocation position, and you will be responsible for leading and delivering advanced training programs at one of our Cyber Academies. Your expertise and guidance will help students develop essential skills and knowledge to protect organizations against cyber threats effectively.


Key Responsibilities:

Curriculum Development: Collaborate with the curriculum development team to create and maintain up-to-date blue team training materials, ensuring they align with the latest industry standards and best practices.

Instructor-Led Training: Lead instructor-led training sessions, both in-classroom and through online platforms, to impart knowledge and practical skills in areas such as threat detection, incident response, and network security.

Mentorship: Provide one-on-one mentoring and guidance to students, offering real-world insights and advice to help them develop into proficient blue team professionals.

Lab Development: Create and manage realistic, hands-on training labs that simulate various cyber threat scenarios, allowing students to practice and apply their skills in a controlled environment.

Assessment and Feedback: Evaluate student progress, performance, and skill development through regular assessments, assignments, and feedback sessions, and provide constructive input for improvement.

Stay Current: Stay updated on the latest cybersecurity threats, trends, and technologies to ensure the training curriculum remains relevant and effective.

Collaboration: Collaborate with other instructors, red team members, and industry experts to create a comprehensive and dynamic learning environment for students.

Research and Innovation: Pursue research and innovation in blue team practices, contributing to the development of cutting-edge training content.

Compliance and Certification: Assist students in preparing for relevant certifications, ensuring they are well-prepared to enter the cybersecurity workforce.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or higher degree in a related field, such as cybersecurity, information technology, or computer science.
  • Industry-recognized certifications, such as CISSP, CompTIA Security+, CEH, or other relevant certifications.
  • Proven experience in a blue team role, including incident response, threat detection, and network security.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal.
  • Experience in teaching, mentoring, or instructing adults, preferably in a formal educational setting.
  • Knowledge of industry-standard cybersecurity tools and technologies.
  • Dedication to continuous learning and professional development.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to evolving cybersecurity threats and tactics.
  • Experience with curriculum development and instructional design is a plus.
