Position: Senior Sales Executive
Contract Type: Permanent
Location: Fulham, London, UK
Salary: £30k-£35k
About the Role
Our client is looking for a Senior Sales Executive to join their Defence & Security Portfolio team, focusing on sales for key industry events like UTD and ITEC. Reporting to the Commercial Director, this role will drive revenue generation through consultative selling and effective account management. You'll play a key role in acquiring new business and managing existing accounts within a rapidly expanding industry.
The ideal candidate will have experience in Conference & Exhibition sales and be comfortable working with clients in the defence & security industry, positioning events to meet their goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead sales calls and meetings with both current and potential exhibitors, working to exceed revenue targets for UTD and ITEC events.
- Demonstrate a high level of consultative selling skills, with experience in CRM systems (preferably Sales force), managing and developing a strong sales pipeline.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with exhibitors, sponsors, partners, and internal teams through effective client relationship management.
- Stay up to date with market developments, using market research and competitor analysis to identify and pursue new client acquisition opportunities.
- Drive lead generation efforts, particularly in the tech-driven sectors of the event.
- Ensure all sales administration, including floor plan management, is completed with a high degree of accuracy and timeliness.
- Provide mentor ship to junior sales executives within the team, assisting with their development.
- Attend competitor events to identify new exhibitor relations opportunities and nurture existing customer retention relationships.
Skills and Experience:
- Proven sales experience in the exhibitions or Confex industry is essential.
- Strong understanding of the event management and sales process, with the ability to contract exhibitors effectively.
- Capable of working under pressure while maintaining high levels of attention to detail.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Self-motivated, target-driven, and skilled at creative problem solving.
