Senior Sous Chef Role Overview:

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Senior Sous Chef to join our talented culinary team. The ideal candidate will bring a deep love for Latin American cuisine, exceptional leadership skills, and a dedication to culinary excellence. As a Senior Sous Chef at Amazonico, you will play a pivotal role in upholding our high standards, mentoring junior chefs, and driving culinary innovation.


Senior Sous Chef Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Head Chef in the day-to-day kitchen operations.
  • Lead and inspire the kitchen team, ensuring smooth and efficient service.
  • Oversee food preparation and presentation to maintain Amazonicos high standards.
  • Develop and refine recipes, incorporating authentic Latin American flavours.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and hygiene standards.
  • Manage inventory, order supplies, and control food costs.
  • Foster a collaborative and positive work environment.

Senior Sous Chef Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Senior Sous Chef or in a similar role in a high-end restaurant.
  • Extensive knowledge of Latin American cuisine and cooking techniques.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Excellent organisational and multitasking abilities.
  • Passion for culinary arts and a creative approach to menu development.
  • Culinary degree or equivalent professional certification.
