About the role

During an exciting period of growth, we have an opportunity for a SOC Analyst to join the Node4 Group. As SOC Analyst you will be helping customers effectively respond to and manage cybers security incidents, ranging from compromise assessments, to live incident response and digital forensics. The successful candidate will demonstrate a technical background, ideally experience or education in working in a SecOps environment and to react to any alerts and/or suspicious activity. The role can be fully remote or hybrid or those that enjoy the office environment.

Overall, our SOC analysts are responsible for the monitoring of security incidents, classifying incidents, and acting as a trusted advisor to identify enhancements or new capabilities and technologies for identification, prevention, detection and recovery of cyber incidents.

Essential Criteria

  • Must hold or be able to successfully achieve and maintain NPPV3 with SC.
  • Able to evidence excellent customer service skills
  • Good all-round experience of multiple infrastructure technologies.
  • Excellent Troubleshooting skills.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Operating Systems.
  • Good understanding of cyber security principles.
  • Knowledge of TCP/IP Protocols, network analysis, and network/security applications.
  • Knowledge/experience of one or more programme skills (Python, Ruby, RHP, C, C#, Java, Regex).
  • Knowledge/experience of one or more System administration (Linux, Windows, Mac).
  • Working knowledge of attack vectors, TTPs and the ability to differentiate between normal and abnormal activity, providing recommendations on countermeasures and remediation activities.
