We are seeking a talented Freelance Knitwear Designer to join the WYSE design team. This dynamic position will primarily support our founder and Head of Design across all knitwear categories. We are looking for an experienced designer with a strong & inspiring handwriting to thrive in our fast-paced environment.

As the Knitwear Designer, you will be responsible for creating, developing, and delivering original, customer-focused knitwear collections. This is a creative role to drive newness from concept and yarn sourcing to sketches and detailed tech packs.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Design and develop innovative knitwear collections.
  • Align with the creative vision set by the Founder and Head of Design.
  • Research trends that resonate with our customers and align with our brand identity to introduce exciting fresh ideas.
  • Excellent CAD skills to create detailed tech packs for suppliers.


Key Skills and Knowledge:


  • A collaborative team player who adapts well to tight deadlines.
  • Strong work ethic, integrity, and reliability, paired with a proactive approach.
  • Comprehensive understanding of the industry and competitive landscape.
  • In-depth technical knowledge of yarn, stitch, gauge, and garment construction.
  • Excellent Photoshop and Illustrator skills
  • Ability to thrive & adapt in a fast-paced setting while maintaining a keen eye for colour, print, proportion, and detail.


This role is part time and based on site at head office working with the design team.
