As a Quality Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our client's products meet the highest standards of quality and reliability. You will be responsible for driving quality improvements, managing customer performance metrics, and supporting the production and engineering teams. The Ideal Candidate:
- Experience: Proven experience in quality engineering, preferably within the electronics manufacturing industry.
- Technical Skills: Strong understanding of quality tools and methodologies, including PPAP, PFMEA, and Control Plans.
- Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Analytical Skills: Ability to analyse data, conduct root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.
- Security Clearance: Must currently hold or be able to obtain SC (Security Check) clearance without any issues.
- Qualifications: HNC/HND or equivalent in a relevant field, with experience in ISO: 9001:2015 and Six Sigma methodologies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Customer Performance: Review customer performance monthly to ensure PPM (Parts Per Million) and OTTP (On Time to Promise) targets are met.
- Quality Improvement: Drive scrap and rework reduction, own improvement projects, and ensure actions are closed to improve overall performance.
- New Product Introduction: Interface with engineering and operations to ensure smooth transfer of new products to production.
- Compliance: Support auditors to ensure products and processes comply with the quality management system.
- Failure Analysis: Analyse failures, conduct root cause analysis, and implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Data Analysis: Collect and analyse statistical data to support quality improvement activities.
- Customer Support: Act as the quality point of contact within a customer-focused team, providing support and solutions for quality-related issues.
- Safety Advocacy: Promote and ensure compliance with safety requirements and company codes of conduct.
