ROLE OVERVIEW
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Product Owner to lead our platform programs, with a primary focus on evolving and enhancing our current eCommerce solutions. This role is crucial in driving the successful delivery of our digital platforms roadmap, ensuring that all initiatives within the program meet the needs of our community while aligning with our business objectives. As a Product Owner, you will lead a cross-functional team, collaborate with the digital team—including other product owners, development, and QA—and work closely with external agencies to ensure the timely delivery of high-quality platform solutions.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Program Roadmap Execution: Work closely with stakeholders to define, prioritise, and deliver on the program roadmap, ensuring alignment with business goals and user needs.
- Stakeholder Management: Engage with key stakeholders to understand requirements, manage expectations, and keep them accountable for deliverables.
- User Acceptance Testing (UAT): Lead the UAT process to ensure all platform updates and new initiatives meet the highest standards of quality and user experience.
- Collaboration with Agencies and Internal Teams: Coordinate with external agencies and internal development teams to meet project deadlines, ensuring seamless integration of solutions.
- Business Requirements Workshops: Facilitate BRWs with your cross-functional team to define and refine requirements for new initiatives, ensuring all business needs are captured and addressed.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process and platform improvements, driving innovation and efficiency within the platform program.
- Lead Cross-Functional Team: Oversee a dedicated cross-functional team, fostering collaboration across departments to deliver platform solutions that enhance user experience and drive community engagement.
- User story creation: Write clear and concise user stories, including acceptance criteria (For internal development projects only).
- Sprint review and retrospective: Participate in sprint reviews to demonstrate completed work and in retrospectives to improve processes.
DESIRED SKILLS AND QUALITIES
- Experience in a similar role in ecommerce and will have worked on large-scale digital builds and user-driven creative solutions for an ecommerce brand.
- Strong understanding of platform development and the ability to translate business needs into technical requirements.
- Desire to produce the best experiences in the industry hands-down
- Proven track record of managing complex tasks or technical projects
- Experience with Adobe commerce
- Experience in UAT
- Proficiency in project management tools (i.e. Kanban boards, Jira, etc)
