Christopher Ali have partnered up with an innovative UK based SaaS start- up who are at a watershed in its growth and require a Head of Sales to build on the company's success so far.


This role will suit a proven Sales Exec who has previous experience in the Streaming/Advertising/ SaaS/Media Tech space and is comfortable with new business development as well as growing and managing a team.


The business has now delivered more than £1 million in revenue each year over four years of trading from 2021 through 2024. They also have an established product development pipeline and sales pipeline (captured in the CRM) which requires an experienced sales professional to help implement the five-year plan.


The success so far, the proven potential of the suite of new products, and the imminent investment to accelerate the growth of the business, combine to create an exciting opportunity for the right candidate as Head of Sales.


The role has three parts, which will require a combination of hunting, farming and management skills.


Hunting: The Head of Sales will drive outbound sales by generating new leads and by building on prospects already captured in the existing CRM, which has been built up over the last four years. Some of these prospects are already at Proof of Concept (POC) stage and these will require nurturing through to signed contracts to become revenue generating clients, while the sales pipeline is also fed with new leads.


Farming: The company's existing business is built on three major clients won during the transition from start-up to scale-up: All three of these clients have already given new assignments beyond the original project, thus providing additional growth. The Head of Sales will have the opportunity to develop these established relationships further by working as the account manager to look after their commercial needs.


Management: The successful candidate will build and run the sales team as the revenue grows. One pre-sales engineer is already assigned and further hires are anticipated. As revenue streams develop, the Head of Sales will manage these contracted relationships by dealing with their day-to-day requirements as they market the products.


The requirements of the role offer a career development plan in the context of a five year plan, so that the Head of Sales can grow into a Chief Revenue Officer in due course. This would entail a place on the Operations board and responsibility for all the company's revenue streams.


Skills -


  • Ability to sell technical products that require both explanation and the ability to understand a clients problems and tailor the use of the product to solve those problems
  • Proven skill in outbound sales within the video software space, use of LinkedIn etc
  • Familiarity with the players in the Media & Entertainment industry both as competitors and partners
  • The ability to further populate and use the CRM and to nurture new and existing prospects
  • Familiarity with running a presence at trade shows such as IBC and NAB
  • Proven competence managing established relationships with tech clients
  • Ability to build revenue where opportunities occur in these existing relationships
  • Empathy to identify client needs to secure the relationships
  • Proven ability to manage a sales team and interact with technical colleagues
  • Ability to manage and enhance relationships with agents across the globe
  • The instinct to be a team player in a technology driven business


Salary-


Up to £100,000 per year, plus commission of £100,000+ per year
