What We Need:

As a Sous Chef, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the Head Chef and maintaining high standards in the kitchen. Your leadership and culinary expertise will contribute significantly to the success of the establishment.


Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the Head Chef to create and execute innovative and appealing menus.
  • Oversee food preparation and ensure all dishes meet quality standards and are served on time.
  • Manage and train kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to foster a cohesive team environment.
  • Assist in inventory management, including ordering and maintaining stock levels.
  • Supervise and maintain food safety and sanitation standards, ensuring a clean and organized kitchen.
  • Monitor kitchen equipment, ensuring it is in good working condition; report any maintenance needs to the head chef.
  • Support the head chef in developing and maintaining standard recipes and portion control to ensure consistency.
  • Assist in special events, tastings, and promotions, as needed.
  • Foster a positive and productive working environment, promoting teamwork and open communication.
  • Assume the responsibilities of the head chef in their absence.


Skills and Experience:

  • 1-2 years of experience in a busy kitchen.
  • In-depth knowledge of various cooking methods, ingredients, and cuisines.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills to manage and motivate kitchen staff effectively.
  • Creativity and passion for food, demonstrated through the ability to create unique and visually appealing dishes.
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
