LOCATION: Site Based Mon-Fri - Newport, South Wales (relocation packages offered)

This role provides the opportunity to lead a multi-functional team of engineers across a variety of exciting projects towards the efficient delivery of High Grade Crypto and Key Management solutions. You will be an influential player in our task to design and deploy highly innovative encryption and cyber technologies. Furthermore, as a Senior Engineer, you will have the chance to guide and mentor junior colleagues in an effort to encourage continuous improvement throughout the whole team.

HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE TO THE TEAM

  • Lead the Engineering team to deliver solutions utilising Engineering best practices in collaboration with Capability Managers
  • Be responsible for the success of programme delivery from an engineering perspective
  • Be involved in the full lifecycle of the product, from bid stage through to customer acceptance
  • Collaborate with the system, hardware and software SMEs to ensure consistency and technical excellence throughout the engineering lifecycle
  • Develop, mentor and support junior engineers to generate Systems Engineering artefacts across the product development lifecycle

ABOUT YOU

  • Experience leading engineers across the full development lifecycle
  • Systems Thinker, understanding and questioning the why and how of a solution, always thinking lean to drive towards delivery
  • Ability to negotiate between technical and non-technical stakeholders with respect to delivering a suitable solution within time and cost constraints
  • Experience working with customers and an understanding of the commercial and contractual aspects of project delivery
