As a Paid Media Manager at SQ Digital, you’ll be at the forefront of delivering impactful paid search and social media campaigns for a diverse portfolio of e-commerce, B2C, and B2B clients. Collaborating with Account Managers and the wider Digital Marketing team to optimise campaigns, exceed KPIs, and drive measurable client growth.


This leadership role allows you to shape and guide a dynamic Paid Media team, ensuring innovative, results-focused output aligned with client objectives. You’ll also be vital in staying ahead of industry advancements, promoting team development, and positioning SQ Digital as a leader in digital marketing excellence.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES


Strategic Leadership

  • Design and develop strategic Paid Media campaigns tailored to client goals, using Paid Media best practices and leveraging existing SEO and content efforts for enhanced performance.
  • Deploy a strong understanding of paid media channels (Search Engine PPC, Marketplace PPC, Paid Social Advertising, Affiliate Marketing) to craft impactful campaigns.
  • Proactively identify opportunities to innovate, optimise, and exceed performance benchmarks.


Team Management

  • Lead, mentor, and develop the Paid Media team, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous growth.
  • Set clear objectives and drive team performance to meet business and client demands.
  • Oversee project allocation and manage the billable hours within the team.


Campaign Execution

  • Collaborate with Account Managers to align strategies with client objectives, ensure regular, transparent, data-driven reporting, and deal with any escalations as required.
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of our clients’ industries, competitors, and trends to provide insightful, actionable insights.
  • Evaluate client performance and communicate complex metrics clearly and effectively to stakeholders, ensuring alignment and transparency.


Innovation & Compliance

  • Stay ahead of emerging trends, platform updates, and AI best practices, and share insights with the wider team and clients.
  • Ensure all practices comply with UK legislation and company policies.


Business Development

  • Support the sales team by providing data and strategic recommendations and contribute to compelling pitch decks and proposals.


WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR


Experience

  • A proven track record of driving successful Paid Media campaigns, ideally within a Digital Marketing Agency.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience with a history of coaching and developing teams to excel.


Knowledge

  • Expert-level understanding of holistic digital marketing strategies and techniques and the ability to implement these for our clients.
  • Up-to-date awareness of industry trends and best practices.
  • Highly computer literate and proficient with data analytics practices.
  • Skilled in using Google Analytics, Ads, Looker Studio, MS Ads, Meta, LinkedIn and other paid media channels.
