We are looking for an experienced planner/buyer within our busy GMP manufacturing site based in Grangemouth


The successful candidate will be have a detailed understanding of material resource planning & procurement processes and managing all aspects thereof.


Extensive SAP experience. Act as the key point of contact for all business related SAP issues and training needs.


Role


  • Planning – Understand material requirements to support ADC production schedule.
  • Participate in Sales and Operations Planning identifying any risks/issues to the proposed Production schedule and provide mitigation plans and recommendations for corrective action to secure supply and service levels.
  • Work with critical and key suppliers of long lead time items to supply forecast/reduce lead times and supply risks.
  • Procurement – ensure materials are procured in a timely manner by releasing material requisitions in SAP as required.
  • Maintain SAP integrity and accuracy of master data – manage item information records, Open & Past due PO reports.
  • Facilitate SAP implementation on site, escalation point for SAP process/technical issues, conduct SAP training & Best practice & process documentation. Cross functional support for all SAP activities.
  • Point of contact for all reject material issues raised by QC, following up as necessary with suppliers and other internal stakeholders to resolve matters in a timely manner to avoid disruptions to Production.
  • Provide QC department with details of materials in QR location/due for delivery that need to be cleared for Production by means of a weekly report and cross departmental meeting to discuss issues and agree priorities.
  • Achieve KPI performance metrics to target within area of responsibility.
  • Maintains and advocates a continuous improvement mindset to identify process improvement and system enhancement opportunities within Planning.


The ideal candidate for this position will have a proven track record in procurement, planning, supply chain & and understanding of logistics and will have a solid understanding of industry standards and best practices. The Procurement Specialist will work closely with cross-functional teams to identify requirements, source, and evaluate suppliers, negotiate contracts, and manage supplier performance, arrange forecasting, planning, and analytics while generating reports to support decision-making. This role requires exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to effectively prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced environment. A strong background in supply chain management, combined with expertise in ERP systems, will be key to success in this role.
