Location: We have hybrid working in place, with 1-2 days per week, in our office in Canary Wharf.


What exactly will you be doing?


As an ICT Administrator, you will play a crucial role in supporting the day-to-day operations of the ICT department, providing first-line support to our user base and ensuring efficient and effective delivery of ICT services to staff. You will be responsible for purchasing, account administration, asset management, basic troubleshooting, and providing training to staff. Additionally, you will work closely with the Service Desk team and other ICT team members to maintain a seamless workflow. This role also presents an opportunity to complete a Level 3 apprenticeship.


Major objectives


The key objectives are:


  • Provide first-line ICT support to our user base, responding to helpdesk inquiries, triaging tickets and performing basic troubleshooting.
  • Manage the procurement of ICT equipment through approved channels, adhering to company standards and processes, while overseeing asset management tasks like tagging, tracking inventory, and equipment maintenance.
  • Manage the Purchase Oder administration, including raising POs, Good Received Notes (GRNs) and following up on outstanding orders for ICT department.
  • Handle account administration duties, including creating staff accounts, setting permissions, assigning licenses, implementing multi-factor authentication, email administration, and managing the onboarding/offboarding process.
  • Conduct ICT inductions and training for new staff on Office 365, Jira, and 8x8 platform usage, while gathering updates for the ICT Hub and managing purchase orders.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement efforts, comply with GDPR regulations, undertake apprenticeship responsibilities, and assist with any other administrative tasks assigned by the ICT Infrastructure team.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for working with users and team members.
  • Prior administration experience and familiarity with using an IT Incident Management system such as Jira.
  • Good knowledge of Office 365 applications and an awareness of Microsoft management tools such as Active Directory, Azure Entra ID, Microsoft Exchange, and SharePoint is desirable.
  • Familiarity with emerging technologies and trends in the ICT field, coupled with basic hardware troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to assist in monitoring and reporting on system performance using basic monitoring tools, along with a basic understanding of mobile device management (MDM) solutions.
