What you''ll do

In this key role, you’ll be managing the test governance as per the bank’s defined testing processes and guidelines, whilst also contributing towards improving test governance and establish significant test governance changes. We’ll also look to you to handle internal and external audits related to testing governance and test processes, contribute towards test processes improvement initiatives, and establish significant process changes.

Additionally, you’ll be:

  • Taking accountability for all aspects of governance quality across both run and change and business as usual activity within the assigned platform or domain
  • Managing a test governance team spread across different geographical locations
  • Taking on result oriented initiatives, monitoring progress and reporting to the leadership team and other stakeholders on a regular basis
  • Reviewing all key collateral, ensuring it is of sufficient quality with no gaps or duplication
  • Providing support across all business areas with respect to addressing all customer test governance related queries and escalations

The skills you''ll need

We’re looking for someone with strong knowledge and understanding of quality standards, quality best practices, and our risk and controls framework. You’ll also need high levels of knowledge and demonstrable application of modern testing and quality practices and techniques used with Agile methodologies.

Additionally, we’ll be looking for:

  • Experience in test management, quality assurance, and test governance roles
  • Experience in governance of all the Quality Assurance (QA) activities, test results, leaked defects, root cause analysis and identifying areas of improvement
  • A strategic thinker with a proven ability to utilise existing test knowledge and experiences, along with the ability to produce practical solutions and alternatives to testing processes
  • A self-starter and an excellent team player with a strong sense of ownership and commitment to quality
  • Strong communication skills to ensure that QA vision is understood and implemented correctly with key stakeholders
