Our Liverpool John Moores University International Study Centre are looking for a Business & Economics Tutor. We seek an innovative and motivated professional to teach Business modules on university preparation programs. Your role includes motivating students, delivering high-quality teaching, and fulfilling pastoral duties. Working with international students, you'll bring performance-driven, cooperative, and flexible qualities to the team. Collaboration within the centre and network is essential. ABOUT THE ROLE
  • Deliver high-quality teaching to groups of international students andundertake marking and feedback provision on a formative and summative basis, whilst complying with quality standards and processes.
  • Deliver schemes of work effectively, to set assessments and mark these in a timely manner.
  • Teach up to a maximum of 25 hours per week (teaching contact time) acrossdifferent modules on the Business pathway.
  • Implement enhancement and enrichment activities across the curriculum (both inside and outside of the classroom) andensure student punctuality, attendance and appropriate behaviorin class/teaching rooms.
  • Actively promote the creative use of TEL (technology-enhanced learning) and ensure the VLE (virtual learning environment) meets provider and university standards for the modules you teach.
  • Responsible for creating and updating teaching materials andcontribute to the preparation of mid and end of term reports on and for students.
ABOUT YOU
  • A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant subject area (Essential)
  • A Relevant teaching qualification (Desirable)
  • Substantial hands-on teaching experience (ideally to international students on university preparation courses up to degree level) (Essential)
  • Experiencedeveloping and updating teaching materials for blended learning, and experience of working with a Virtual Learning Environment (Essential)
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
